From home to work/school and back again. Sociologist Ray Oldenburg recognized the need for a place separate from the primary and secondary locations most people spend their time: a third place where socialization and relaxation could occur. We saw this need as an opportunity to make an ordinary bookstore more than the sum of its parts.
“People need somewhere they can just hang out. Cornerstone Books & Music will do just that: in addition to Christian books and music, the store has a café, comfortable seating, free Wi-Fi Internet access, and live music Friday nights. Put that together, and you have a relaxed, warm atmosphere where people can connect with friends or meet for a Bible study.”
Since our opening, people have continued to discover our store as a great place to hang out, discover new music, and enjoy some excellent coffee and fellowship.
